Janella"s books written by Steven George, his usual name, are not your run of the mill misery memoirs where the book says, I was abused, but I’m ok now! They instead contain facts & figures and are more case studies, than tales of emotional wrecks.
Heartless Too his first book, a rewrite of Heartless, his original and first book, charts his abuse at the hands of adoptive parents & Jimmy Savile, and others, is told in a style of Steven whispering in your ear what happened as she discovers it herself, yes I did say she. Steven is also transgender, which has no effect on his writing ability, and allows him to understand abuse, and what it does, to both sexes, and the feelings of self worth loss, and humiliation.
The Hidden Hancock file is a case study rather than an autobiography, but is still treated in the style of talking to you, and while it includes documents which tend to repeat the narrative you are still discovering the information as we did.
Steven George has used these books & his poetry as therapy, and in future blogs will be including some of his poetry, if there is interest he will produce a book of poetry.
